My Adorable Rescue Kitten

This is our beautiful rescue kitten Church. 
Now before you ask, she is named after the cat from the Mortal Instruments who is the coolest cat ever (and it's also my favorite book series). 

When we decided we wanted to get a cat for my emotional support animal we originally wanted to adopt what this particular rescue called "Special Kneads" kitties. 

All the ones they had up for adoption required very expensive medicine and we decided we couldn't take them on financially right now. 

We then looked at all the kitties they had available and were there for hours. We held a few of them but it was hard to find a connection. 

But all the sudden a little blob appeared from one of the farthest cages. We hadn't seen her the whole time we were there. I went over and coaxed her to the front of the cage. I took her out of the cage and held her. 

Immediately I felt a connection, and since she was going to be an emotional support animal I wanted a cat that I could hold. 

I started crying and knew she was the one. 
...
We started the adoption process which was almost like adopting a child for how much documentation we had to have and forms we had to fill out. 

We had to have documentation for from our apartment complex as well (which was a rollercoaster). 

We mentioned that she was sneezing and the look on the employees face made my heart drop. 

The employee said that she could be sick and she needed to go on antibiotics right away. 
I was so scared my baby was already sick. 

We brought her home and followed the directions from bringing a kitten home (I will post info later). 

Long story short we have had her for 3 weeks and she is the best cat in the world. She loves to cuddle and behaves so well. She is smart and we are currently clicker training her and working on using a leash. She is a healthy kitty, she is over her sickness and is putting on healthy weight. I love her with all my heart.

Rescues save so many animals. 

I will post about what to look for in a rescue in and what the process looks like. There is a lot of things people don't tell you, you have to do when you adopt but I will post a how to guide. 

I have learned a lot about what makes a happy kitty and would love to share.
